General Info
Instruments for performance and lessons: ROLAND DIGITAL STAGE PIANO and RECORDER (Blockflöte) DIGITAL STAGE PIANO--for performance indoors or outdoors, wherever electricity is available. Adjustable volume. 120 different timbres. RECORDER MUSIC--lovely indoors or outdoors. Microphone available as needed. Background accompaniments (guitar, lute, orchestra, harpsichord) are played on iPod and high quality speaker system. Exquisite live entertainment in folk and classical styles! Kay holds conservatory and university degrees in music, including Princeton University (BA) and the University of California, Berkeley (MA). She was a principal pianist for a ballet company in New Jersey in the 1980's. She has directed recorder ensembles for over 10 years. Kay has attended Recorder and Baroque Workshops sponsored by SFEMS (San Francisco Early Music Society). A recipient of national ARS (American Recorder Society) scholarships, Kay has been coached by Frances Blaker and Marion Verbruggen. She has extensive chamber music background in keyboard and recorder.
