As a Board certified surgeon, Dr. Mark Cox has the expertise in managing a wide range of problems related to oral care, corrective jaw surgery and other dental surgeries. Dr. Cox is a graduate from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and Medicine where he earned both his dental and medical degrees. He has received extensive training in facial reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, anesthesia techniques, dental alveolar surgery, bone grafting, and the surgical placement of dental implants. We are well-trained in assisting with I.V. sedation and general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.Missing teeth makes it quite difficult for all of us to speak or laugh comfortably in public. Dental implants are by far, the most effective way to replace missing teeth. They are also a fixed solution to have removable partial or complete dentures. Dental implants are extremely durable and only occasionally you have to get it re-tightened or replaced due to wear and tear.
