Adult Day Care The Adult Day Care Center provides non-medical care to persons 18 years of age and older who need personal care services, supervision and assistance with daily living activities on less than a 24 hour basis. Adult Day Health Care Adult Day Health Care is a community-based program that provides care, transportation, social and recreational activities, physical, occupational and speech therapies, a noon hot meal, therapeutic groups and family support. Alzheimer's Day Care Shasta County's only certified Alzheimer's Day Care and Resource Center. The ADCRC program was initiated to help meet the respite needs of unpaid caregivers and provide a meaningful experience for persons with dementia. It was designed to provide a service for persons who frequently are not accepted by existing service programs. Foster Grandparents & Senior Companions These programs offer seniors on a limited income an o pportunity to assist children or other senior citizens. Participants are screened, trained, placed at a volunteer station and, while serving, receive a small stipend for each hour of service and mileage reimbursement which is not taxed or considered income in order to qualify for any other senior programs.
