Established in 1965, Spring Valley Elementary enrolls more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its offers academic programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally has art, vocal music, orchestra and physical education specialists. Spring Valley Elementary also offers Title I and English as a Second Language programs. It provides before- and after-school child care services. Its parent-teacher association organizes field trips, book fairs, school carnivals, teacher-appreciation functions and other fundraising events. In addition, the school has a media center that provides various fun and educational materials, as well as access to the Internet. Spring Valley Elementary is located in Raytown, Mo., and is a part of the Raytown C-2 School District.
