Established in 1914, Raytown High School serves more than 1,400 students in grades nine through 12. Its human services department offers classes in applied economics, sociology, journalism and psychology. Its science courses include biology, physical science, chemistry, astronomy, geology and physics. Raytown High School s art and communication department provides classes in photography, drawing, 3-D pottery and house and interior design. The school provides various career courses, including fashion designing, interpreting, acting, jewelry crafting and technical writing. The school also offers various mathematic courses, which include algebra, trigonometry, informal geometry and calculus. It also provides sports activities, such as football, hockey, tennis, wrestling, soccer, hockey, softball and golf. Raytown High School is located in Raytown, Mo.
