This is a message that I received from an owner when I expressed my experience on Yelp...Lisa A: I'm not sure what Lyons Den you went to but your description of the food and drinks were all just the opposite!! They have the best burger in town! (So thick I can barely get my mouth on it) The fries are always cooked perfectly! And the drinks are sure as heck not weak!! Think you better get your facts straight before posting this kind of review!!Very unprofessional and not applicable to the meal that I received.

As a new addition to the Randolph area I had high hopes for the opening of The Lyons Den. Unfortunately the experience was a disappointment. When our waitress finally came and took our drink order she didn't return for 30 minutes, and then only returned because she couldn't remember what we ordered! During this time we saw her talking to other employees and just hanging around. 45 minutes after we arrived we finally got our drinks, and decided not to order food. The menu looked like it had some options that might have been good to try, but after speaking to others about their experience we apparently didn't miss much. Having a brunch option on the weekends is enticing, but not for the cost at The Lyons Den. There's also not a child rate. I'd rather spend time driving up to J Morgans in Montpelier for Brunch - lower cost, AND a kid rate, for a much higher quality product.

This restaurant is the newest addition to the Randolph and Central Vermont area! The above comment was made in 2012 for Chadwick's Steakhouse. Chadwick's CLOSED in July 2014 and new owners/operators have opened The Lyons Den Restaurant & Pub. Great food, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere! You've got to try this place out! I highly recommend The Lyons Den for lunch or dinner and their Sunday Brunch ROCKS! So glad I found this place!

Service was timely and friendly. Food portions were ample and things were prepared well. A little pricey but good value. Will definitely come again

I went back for the first time since their opening. I gave them another shot since the first was a disaster. Sparing all the details I would have to say they got their $#!+ together. Wonderful experience great service and fantastic food. If anyone else had a prior bad experience, you should try again. I eat out a lot and hands down Chadwicks is the finest eatery in Randolph.
