The Rancho Murieta Training Center, also known as RMTC, offers apprenticeship training and continuing education programs for journey-level operators. The center includes more than 8-acre campus and maintains over 80 acres of space for training yard and conducting hands-on training activities. It provides a five-week probationary orientation program for new apprentices. The Rancho Murieta Training Center offers training for handling backhoes, blades, dozers, loaders, compactors, pavers, rollers, scrapers and grade-checking machines. In addition, the center provides ongoing heavy-duty repair classes in the areas of power train, welding electronics and hydraulics. It is a part of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3.
