River Bend Elementary School is a learning institute that serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes art, music, math, science, social studies, language arts, writing, and health and physical education. The school provides Title I and English as a Second Language programs. It maintains a parent-teacher association that holds regular meetings and conferences. The school operates a media center that offers a variety of educational and learning materials and stocks over 3,000 books. River Bend Elementary School is a part of the Wake County Public School System, which is a school district that serves nearly 130,000 students through approximately 150 elementary, middle and high schools.
