- Minimally Invasive SurgeryRaleigh OB/GYN Centre is dedicated to providing our patients a full suite of gynecological services, including minimally invasive surgery. When patients chose to partner with us, we want this mutually beneficial relationship to last a lifetime. For this reason, our providers perform minimally invasive surgeries when possible instead of referring our patients elsewhere. This allows us to meet the needs of our patients while continuing to grow and foster our relationship with them.

- Robotic SurgeryLaparoscopy and robotic surgery are minimally invasive surgical techniques. These procedures are considered minimally invasive because they do not require a large incision like traditional open surgery. While open procedures require incisions that are several inches long, robotic surgeries and laparoscopies only require small incisions and usually require less healing time. Many gynecologic procedures can now be performed laparoscopically or with robotic assistance rather than open procedures.
- HysterectomyMore serious complications come into play when the VBAC is attempted but fails. Failed Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC) complications include uterine rupture, which necessitates an emergency C-section and a possible hysterectomy if the rupture is severe.
- LaparoscopyLaparoscopy is a type of surgery performed using one or more small incisions. These procedures are done using an instrument called a laparoscope, which is a long thin tube with a light and a camera attached to the end.
- Laparoscopic SurgeryRobotic surgery is similar to laparoscopic surgery in that it only requires small incisions. With the patient under general anesthesia, a small robotic arm is placed in the abdomen through a small incision. The robotic arm includes small surgical tools that allow the surgeon to make precise movements. Robotic surgical systems give surgeons the ability to operate with even more dexterity and precision than with endoscopic or laparoscopic procedures. Robotic surgery allows surgeons to perform procedures that were once only possible with open procedures.

- Physical TherapyIf you are experiencing an involuntary loss of urine, consult with a healthcare provider. Your gynecologist may first recommend nonsurgical treatment such as lifestyle changes, bladder training, physical therapy, and using certain bladder support devices. For urgency urinary incontinence, the treatment may involve medication. Surgery may help certain types of incontinence. Often, several treatments are used together for the best effect.
