I scheduled two sessions with Mrs. Dowdy that went well. However, she spent about a quarter of the sessions informing me about her personal situation including her past relationships which was a bit uncomfortable. She then informed me during the sessions that her services were probably not warranted. When I asked her to confirm the sessions via a letter she called and was very unprofessional and quite confrontational. She not only cursed at me, but also told me to not treat her like I treat my significant other. When I reminded her multiple times of the comment she made about me not needing more counseling in our sessions she ignored the statements and informed me that she now was going to recommend more counseling. The call contined for several minutes and she was very loud and would cut me off mid sentence. Maybe she was just having a difficult time in her life that day, but her comments were not only confusing but unfounded. Her statements and actions were unprofessional.
