The Quincy Police Department is part of the public safety group in Quincy, Ill. It provides Quincy residents with public safety services, such as general patrol activities and traffic control. The department also conducts a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program for children attending all Quincy elementary schools. Other departments in the public safety group include the Quincy Fire Department and 911 Dispatch Center. The Quincy Police Department at full staff has more than 75 sworn officers and nearly 20 civilian employees. It is headquartered along 8th Street in Quincy.
