Established in 1995, Benjamin Franklin Charter School is an educational institution that serves more than 350 students in kindergarten through grade eight. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, science, math, history, geography, health, literature , English, music, social studies, computer technology, physical education, language arts and foreign languages. The school additionally provides classes in recitation, spelling, research, drama and composition. It operates a parent organization, Franklin Parent Organization, which serves as a resource for students, parents and staff. The school provides a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, football, volleyball, basketball, softball, and track and field. It organizes several recreational events, including field trips and writing competitions. The school s staff includes custodians, clerks and teacher aides. Benjamin Franklin Charter School maintains one of its campuses in Gilbert, Ariz.
