Founded in 1923, Cohanzie Elementary School enrolls more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers academic programs in language arts, science, social studies and mathematics. The school additionally conducts art, music, band and orchestra classes. Cohanzie Elementary School also offers English Language Learners and special education programs. Its staff is comprised of speech and language pathologists, psychologists, social workers and counselors. The school has Spanish and health and physical education departments. Cohanzie Elementary School also organizes field trips. In addition, it provides various health care services, such as medications, immunizations, and postural and audiometric screenings.
