Overall, communication is extremely poor and not timely. The owner lacks maturity (as a business person) and forgets this is a local dance studio, not Juilliard, and there her role is to lead and teach. And to also treat the parents as what we are - her clients. The coaching style is not positive nor constructive, but extremely passive-aggressive with the owner. There are only two other instructors, both of whom do exhibit a more constructive style of teaching/coaching, but the owner tends to run over on her classes, impacting their studio time, with little or no regard for the other classes/instructors. While my daughter has made friends and has done well, it has been due to the other instructors. Her enjoyment has diminished at times due to the owner's style - or lack thereof. It could be a great place. Too much 'backstage' chatter.
