McAlder Elementary School enrolls more than 550 students and offers classes from grades kindergarten through five. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science and technology, social studies, health education, English, computer science, arts and crafts, music and physical education. The school organizes various extracurricular activities for students, including boys and girls chorus, bell and chime choir and talent show. It also has a broadcast news team that produces a weekly news show, and a technology club where students learn word processing, as well as creating electronic presentations and spreadsheets. The school offers various after school sports programs that include volleyball, basketball and athletics. Located in Puyallup, Wash., McAlder Elementary School is part of the Sumner School District.
