Not very impressed with this place!!! Having experience with obtaining a mortgage through First American Home Loans, and also upon selling our house to people obtaining a mortgage through First American - here's what you'll most likely experience. The broker gets you set up for a loan with a good rate. Half way through the process or later, he decides to change mortgage companies causing you to submit more application paperwork (may/may not be for a slightly better rate) which delays the appraisal and closing process. This seems to be a repetitive process that's been used for years apparently. If you're looking for a smooth purchase process, do not go through this guy.
