The Palms is a wonderful facility. The staff is so friendly and they take care of their residents like they were a part of their own family. It was remodeled and looks amazing. It's like night and day. I've heard nothing but good about this facility from other family members, staff and 3rd parties that come in. It's truly a place where you'll know your loved one will be taken care of and loved.

It used to a family oriented facility, but management has changed since it was bought out by a very large company in March, 2009. Lisa as administrator was such an absolute plus for the facility, but she's gone, and the new administrator does not compare in any way to what Lisa and her family did as owners. She will be missed.

This facility is basically clean, but you can smell urine down the halls sometimes. The management is not much, but the caretakers and nurses are very nice to the residents, which is a big plus. The food is TERRIBLE. basically cheap slop. There are very few activities. The charge for any transportation and do not take the residents on any outings. They do have all private rooms, however, all bathrooms are shared. Keep looking. You will find a better place for your loved one.
Excellent facility, scrupulously clean, caring staff, and all new, as it had to be rebuilt after Hurr. Charlie, (local) family owned & operated. The majority of the rooms in this facility are private, so no roommate problems! My mother had been in four other facilities before we stumbled upon this one and now she's going onto her second year there and she's even found a boyfriend! Everyone is served the same entree at mealtimes. Sometimes the menus get a bit repetitious but the quality of the food has always been good as the majority of their food stuffs is purchased from the local Sam's Club. The ONLY drawback: no cable or satellite service is provided to the individual rooms. They have satellite TV in the community rooms but the individual rooms are limited to local reception via rabbit ear antennas. The owners have permitted responsible relatives/caregivers to install the local cable service or satellite providing the expense is the relatives/caregivers responsibility.
