I waited 10 minutes in the lobby. Nurse was friendly and educated. Wait time in the exam room was about 10 minutes. I saw the physicians assistant, again was friendly, educated, took the time to discuss with me the procedure. I had to areas removed on my face and one on my back, very considerate of my level of comfort during the procedures. Check out was simple, they knew how much I had to pay right away. Didn't have to return for a follow up, was called within a week with my results.
She was better @ skinsmart dermatology, or even the cleveland clinic. NOt much attention paid to detail.
I can hardly believe that anyone could get poor customer service from Dr. McDonnell. I have been seeing her for almost a year, Dr. McDonnell is the best doctor I have ever come across. She is capable - truly an expert of her field. She is extremely nice - there are a couple of times I called her in the middle of the night to explain my condition, and she was more than willing to help me. The most important thing for me is to find a doctor that I am comfortable with, if not trust. After being a patient with Dr. McDonnell for almost a year, I trust her as a doctor and her quality care. During that time, I have never felt pushed for more products or procedures. That is why I was astound to find out that some people get that impression - so astound that I even doubt whether we were talking about the same McDonnell Dermatology. If it is anything, she always explains in details about alternative procedures, which I find more than helpful when make my own decisions.
I have seen Dr. McDonnell back when I lived in Cleveland and she practiced at the Cleveland Clinic. I recently relocated to Punta Gorda and was happy to keep my dermatologist! Dr. McDonnell is a caring, highly professional expert physician. She has treated me for acne and warts. She is unique because unlike other doctors, I feel she actually cares about not only treating my medical issues but also me as a person. I would recommend her to anyone for dermatological needs. I was excited to see that she has Jamie working for her too. Jamie did an excellent job with my chemical peel. My face looks renewed and my pores are very tight now.
This woman took advantage of me and other's I've seen go here. Her and her staff were rude and less than helpful. Im sure it would be 5 stars if you don't question anything and just give them all your money because of the clean and organized atmosphere but this did not make up for the fact that they argued and talked down to their customers and pushed so many products and procedures that were not needed. So disappointed. Oh well there is a great dermatologist in north port :)
I have never been to a doctor who wad so rude to there customers when they have legitimate concerns and who are so money hungry. I went in for a certain thing and all they were concerned about is what else they could milk me for. Like telling me I need perscription strength acne Meds when I had two pimples. No thank you I'll take my business to someone more patient and who cares for there customers more.
My husband and I have both been going to Dr. McDonnell when she was with another practice. We have not yet been to her new office but will be scheduling annual appointments now that we have found her. Doc is smart, funny, quick, and very good. She has removed 2 serious "wanna be's" as she likes to refer to them from my husband . Got it all!!! With very minimal scarring, if any and one was quite large. I have recommended to her to many people, now need to tell them about her new location. i am very glad she has come down to our area. Welcome Dr. McDonnell!!The Bordino's
