In operation since 1975, New River Valley Agency on Aging offers advocacy services for senior citizens, their families and caregivers. The agency serves people in Giles, Floyd, Montgomery and Pulaski counties in Virginia. It offers care coordination, abuse prevention, homemaker, medical transportation, and residential repair and renovation services. New River Valley Agency on Aging also provides respite care solutions. The agency offers access to the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, which promotes civic engagement for citizens aged 55 and older. In addition, it administers the Virginia Insurance Counseling Program, which features assistance in making decisions about Medicare supplement solutions. New River Valley Agency on Aging offers frozen and canned meals.
