Since we are the only Rheumatology clinic between Colorado Springs and Santa Fe, NM, we are very busy. We value your time, therefore, we generally run right on schedule. We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment and bring the following items at the time of your first visit: old records, laboratory report, X-Rays, and list of present Medications.

Urgent Care has two locations that are conveniently located on the north and south sides of Pueblo.
- Primary CareAt Southern Colorado Clinic (SCC), we wish to provide all our patients with quality medical services from our primary care providers, specialists and ancillary services. Because we are a group practice with electronic medical records (EMR), all our medical records are integrated throughout the clinic. Therefore if you receive services in one area, another provider can easily review your chart. This helps to coordinate medical care and improve communications amongst our doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physical therapists. In addition we provide walk-in x-ray services and densitometry without leaving the main building.

- OrthopedicsThe Clinic became a reality by the summer of 1970 with the first intrepid physicians, Dr. Carl Bartecchi, Dr. Rodney Dwyer and Dr. Larry Walls setting up practice. The second wave of pioneers came in 1971 and included Dr. Charles Bedard, Dr. Val Cichon and Dr. Charles Salerno. Then in the summer of 1972 Dr. Charles Hanson, Dr. Klaus Anselm and Dr. Muryl Laman arrived, rounding out the original seven founders. All the above doctors trained at the Henry Ford Hospital, except for Dr. Laman who trained at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Harold Frost, chairman of the Orthopedics Department at Henry Ford Hospital, joined the group in 1973.
