We eat here on a regular basis, at least twice a month. The food is always delicious. The service is quick, efficient, and pleasant. They must be doing everything right as it is always filled to capacity at lunch time.
I visited this restaurant because it was recommended by another person, and I was highly disappointed. Firstly, the meat on the "gourmet" subs is equivalent to the quality of spam. I had the hoagie, which tasted alright but wasn't what I would desire to pay 8.00 for....my husband had the italian sausage sandwhich which was a processed frozen patty with a nauseating sausage aftertaste. My daughter had the chicken strips, my 11month old son shared with her and they got to bite into a nice delicious salmonella filled RAW chicken strip. Mmmm. The appetizer, stuffed jalapenos...should have tipped us off. Also having been undercooked, the cheese still cold and not even melted. We were given a refund on the chicken strips. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone without tastebuds, or a desire to retain healthy digestive functions.
I love to eat there with a few friends during lunch. The sandwhiches are always fresh and the fries are hot. Friendly service and fast.
If I was a skater kid, I would say that this place was "killer, sick and bad." You have never eaten food until you have had a Pass Key Special. Fresh made local bread, perfectly cooked little bit spicy Italian sausage patty, and tons of gooey melted cheese. Bury me with a special to-go, it is so worth the heart attack.

Pass Key is a very hospitable place and has a very comfortable atmosphere. The food may be that of an old diner, but the sevice is fair and the grinders are excellent.
If your looking for a well-loved, and historic Pueblo tradition, Pass Key is the restaurant for you. Try the Pass Key Special. Hands down, the best in Pueblo.
