Provo Canyon School is a 240-plus-bed residential treatment facility that offers behavioral programs and services for adolescents. It is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. The facility is also a member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs. Its treatment team includes therapists, counselors, doctors and teachers. The facility s recreation therapy department organizes a variety of therapeutic activities, such as canoeing, caving, skiing, hiking and rappelling. Its early adolescent program offers emotional, behavioral and academic services. Located in Provo, Utah, the facility is owned and operated by Universal Health Services, a hospital management company.
