General Info
Rhode Island Credit Union has experienced many changes throughout our history. The Board and Management have continued to respond to industry changes in an effort to keep up with an ever changing financial and technological market. Our unique business model where credit union members are the owners of the institution proves to be as effective today as it was in 1946 when Rhode Island Credit Union was founded. The idea of serving only the needs of credit union members, not distant shareholders is what guides our decision-making process.

This place is a complete joke! I don't know about the other branches, but on multiple occasions at their Cranston branch, I've had to wait 20+ minutes just to cash a check and make a loan payment!! They are constantly short-staffed and their outdated computers and printers are always breaking down! They should be embarrassed by these aspects. Customer service is rude and unprofessional. Their increasing service fees are excessive and unacceptable for a community credit union. As soon as my loan is paid off, I will not walk, but RUN away from that place! Save yourself the hassle and frustration, and avoid banking there at all costs.
My Experience with RI Credit Union was a nightmare,I recently applied for a personal loan and I had many concerns about the loan and I was asking legitimate questions about the loan,I was treated in a disrespectful manner. Their customer service is extremely poor they lack professional ethics. It is a pitty that an institution in bussiness since 1946 conducts themselves in such a negative way. I believe that the customer is the key ingredient in any type of successful bussiness and customers shouldn't be taken for granted.Wouldn't you agree?
