  In your Personal Wellness Program, Dr. Weinberg will evaluate your states of sleep, stress, diet, exercise, travel, sexual history, family, and mental health. Other main focuses will be your diet, nutritional status and exercise. In many cases you will be referred to an exercise program or trainer, and may maintain a daily diary of what your diet and exercise to review with Dr. Weinberg at short intervals. Each individual will have evaluated the effect of diet alteration, exercise and behavioral modification in order to modify an optimal weight loss and exercise program, or in some cases, utilize consultants in these areas. Body composition analysis will be utilized to assess your reductions in body fat while increasing your muscle and body water content.
• Primary Care
  Since most primary care physicians in America have practices comprised of 4000 patients, in order to maximize your personalized care, Dr. Weinberg will strictly limit Marc Weinberg MD Personal Healthcare, Ltd. to a maximum of 250 individuals. Since daily openings in Dr. Weinberg's schedule will be tactically placed for sick visits which require immediate attention, you will not have long waiting room delays. During your requested office visit, each medical concern will be addressed to your satisfaction. The utilization of all communicative technology available will allow Dr. Weinberg to establish the most reasonable, and educated solutions for your primary care needs.

  Within two hours. Normally, we would wait two hours just to sign into the Emergency Room and be acknowledged by the triage nurse!   You will be provided with the results of your blood vessel and disease analysis treatment plan on a USB chip, including your CIMT (carotid cholesterol artery test), laboratory analysis from Cleveland Heart, Singulex and Quest labs, your examination, EKG and other reports. In addition, you will be given access to your medical records over a secure internet portal.
• Immunizations
  Yearly influenza shots, interval DPT and pneumovax will be administered for free when provided for you by the Rhode Island Department of Health. Otherwise flu shots, other vaccinations and injections of medications will be billed to you or to your insurance company.

He was an intern in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center, completed a residency in Internal Medicine in the Tufts- New England Medical Center, and a fellowship in Nephrology at Boston University Medical Center.

For example, recent evidence suggests vitamin D deficiency may be a risk factor in cardiovascular diseases and even prostate cancer.   Disease build-up of cholesterol plaque in your carotid and femoral arteries will be evaluated using innovative, non-invasive ultrasound technology called Carotid Intima Medial Thickness Scans (CIMT) showing cholesterol, calcium, and deposition of deleterious oxidized chemicals in your arteries. In addition to identifying the presence of disease, your arteries will be given a suggested arterial age by three methods. Furthermore, your blood will be analyzed for the chemicals that cause inflammation; your genetic predisposition to develop heart attacks, strokes and aneurysms as well as response to life saving medications; the presence of insulin resistance or pre-Diabetes; as well as cholesterol subclasses and with breakdown by particulate size and type. These data will permit me to determine most advantageous treatment in order to achieve blood vessel friendly goals and an environment to stimulate regression or dissolving of cholesterol in the wall of your body's arteries.

  Furthermore, Dr. Weinberg has recently served as Chief Clinical Operating Officer of Diversified Specialty Institute, Nashville, TN. One recent project was the development of DSI Bucks County Hospital, a specialty hospital for Women’s Health, Breast Cancer and Plastic Surgery. Technology used to evaluate Breast Health includes Digital (not analogue) Mammography and Ultrasound, CT scanning with contrast, Aurora MRI of the Breast, and Positron Emission Mammography (PEM). Cancer detection using these techniques will demonstrate lesions as small as 1-2mm, rather than the traditional 15-20mm by analogue mammography. Although the most sensitive technique, PEM scanning is available in only a few national centers, you will have access to cutting edge diagnostic procedures. At

• Lesions
  Office Visit 2: CIMT is performed. Anterior, lateral and posterior images are taken of the near and far walls for a total of 12 views which reviewed with each patient during the visit. Your carotid bulbs will also be examined in detail for atherosclerotic lesions. The CIMT is discussed and comments are made regarding the presence of plaque or ulcerations. Patients are reminded that it will take complete analysis of their CIMT can take up to one week. To analyze the data on Sonosite computer software. Total length of visit is 30 minutes.
