- Primary CareIn 1996 we became a pilot site for the Physician’s Enhanced Plan (PEP) in partnership with SCDHEC. This program made sure that offices were available to patients and encouraged patients to call their primary care provider before presenting to the ER. It allowed emergency departments to call the primary care provider for non-urgent visits which saved the state over 1 million dollars in its first year. LFM participated in this initiative until its end in 2007.

- Family PracticeLovelace Family Medicine, PA was established in August 1988 by Dr. Oscar Lovelace, Jr. in honor of his grandfather, Drury Lovelace, a Prosperity dairy farmer. The office is located in the town of Prosperity, SC in Newberry County just off I-26, 30 miles west of Columbia, and 6 miles from Lake Murray. Since we opened our doors, our focus has been on providing comprehensive, preventative health care by emphasizing the physical, mental, and spiritual health of our patients.
- Emergency CareRecent studies find value in the boosters. One study looked only at adults age 65 or older, finding that the bivalent booster reduced the risk of hospitalization by 84% compared to someone not vaccinated, and 73% compared to someone who had received only the monovalent vaccine. Another study of adults found those who had gotten the bivalent were less likely to need COVID-related emergency room care or urgent care.
