Founded in 1952, the Prosper Fire Department is a part of the town of Prosper, Texas. The department is responsible for providing emergency response to several situations, including medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, fire alarms, and structure, grass and vehicle fires. It also operates a fleet of pumpers, firefighting vehicles, ambulances and commercial chassis. The Prosper Fire Department has established mutual aid agreements with Celina, Frisco, Collin and Denton counties in Texas. The department has a fire prevention division that offers inspection services. Its each fire engine carries medical supplies and equipment. The Prosper Fire Department additionally provides first aid classes.
