Following graduation from University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Carlson was on staff at the U of M as an Associate Professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry for seventeen years. Dr. Carlson has enjoyed working in Prior Lake for the last 39 years, and has been active in a number of activities while living here. He has been a longtime member of the Prior Lake Optimist Club, and for the last twelve years has run a mentorship program at Prior Lake Savage high school called the Excel program, where students are matched up with an adult member of the community, to improve grades and prepare for post secondary education.
