Zargis Medical Corp. is a global medical device company focused on improving health outcomes and cost effectiveness through diagnostic support software as well as technological innovation. Siemens AG and Speedus Corp. co-invested to form the company to develop and market computer-aided medical devices for use in diagnostic cardiac screening as well as in telemedicine. In August 2009, Zargis Medical Corp. collaborated with 3M Littmann Brand Products to launch Zargis Cardioscan, the world's first Food Drug Administration-cleared medical device to identify and classify suspected heart murmurs. The U.S. Army has awarded multiple contracts to Zargis Medical Corp. to develop pilot-versions of telemedicine system for use in remote auscultation.
