MMG Insurance Company is a regional property and casualty insurance company that carries an A.M. Best A-(Excellent) rating. MMG Insurance has evolved into a regional company and began writing policies in Vermont in 1981 and New Hampshire in 1984. As of 2005, approximately 51 percent of its business is written in the state of Maine, 34 percent in New Hampshire and the remaining 15% in the state of Vermont. MMG Insurance maintains a regional office in Concord, N.H., to provide service to the agents in that state. MMG Insurance has gained a prominent position in the personal lines marketplace throughout the tri-state region by offering a wide array of products. Its unique packaging concept, known as 'Portfolio,' comprises approximately two-thirds of the total premium volume written by the company. MMG Insurance also offers a variety of commercial lines products, which includes commercial auto, business owner, special trade contractor, farm owner and commercial umbrella insurance. Commercial Lines represents greater than 19 percent of the MMG Insurance's premium volume and has seen significant growth in the past several years.
