Founded in 2005, Granville Elementary School enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as reading, math, writing, music, art and physical education. It also provides instruction in music, library skills and computers. The school additionally offers special education, Title I reading and English Language Learners programs. It offers a character education program that imparts values of respect, responsibility, generosity and perseverance to students. Granville Elementary School s Reading Counts! program encourages and strengths the reading skills of students. Its sports activities include football, volleyball, and track and field. The school has a student council and rewards exceptionally bright students. Granville Elementary School is a part of the Humboldt Unified School District.
