• Chiropractic Adjustments
  A number of therapeutic modalities are offered at Pickett Family Chiropractic.  These include electric muscle stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and/or hot/cold therapy.  Therapy will only be used if indicated.  It is important to remember that these modalities are supplemental to the adjustment.  The chiropractic adjustment is the most important part of your care.
• Subluxation
  Chiropractic adjustments correct misalignments within the spine.  Chiropractors refer to these misalignments as subluxations.  Subluxations interfere with the nervous system's ability to communicate efficiently with the brain.  When these subluxations are corrected, the nervous system is able to function properly.  When the spine is in proper alignment and the nervous system has no interference, the entire body is able to function at it's highest capability.
• Pediatric Chiropractic
  Dr. Rachel completed over 180 hours outside of chiropractic school in specialized training from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in the area of chiropractic care for pediatric and pregnant patients.  This specialized training is part of a certification through the ICPA.  Dr. Rachel is currently involved in the ICPA's research program.  Upon completion of this research project, Dr. Rachel will be the only chiropractor in the Montgomery area certified as a specialist in chiropractic care for children and pregnant women.  She is also the only chiropractor in the Montgomery area certified in the Webster Technique, a technique developed specifically for pregnant patients.
