Took the wife's 2015 Kia Sorento to Joe Hudson's in Prattville on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The young man, Ronnie, met me at the door, and came outside to do the estimate on the vehicle. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and probably the MOST PROFESSIONAL representative I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with, in my 50+ years of driving and sometimes wrecking of vehicles. Ronnie explained quite succinstly what the damage was, both visible and potentially hidden. He described. again, in no uncertain terms the actions that would be undertaken, the approximate time frame required, and all aspects of the work. He went above and beyond what was expected, went the extra mile, to be clear, concise and in a seldom found today,level of professionalism. Made me wish I had a body shop so I could hire him, myself. The work was completed in 3 days, as he had estimated, and IS TOP NOTCH!!! All in all, I rated Ronnie and the Joe Hudson experience and team with 5 stars, because there is not a 6 star available. Would I recommend them to anyone???? CERTAINLY!!! Would I take my vehicle there again, should the need arise??? I would take it NOWHERE ELSE. We have used Joe Hudson since 2007 and have had excellent customer service. We have had several series of unfortunate events that have kept us going back. We wouldn't trust the repairs on our vehicles to any other shop. Kudos to Nathan and his crew for the great service they provide.

The repair itself looks fine - it's the SERVICE that I was not pleased with at ALL. After 3 different quotes in which they continued to up the price, my out-of-pocket expenses were more than they had originally stated. They kept my car for 3 weeks wherein I was merely hit and run parked in a parking lot. While my SUV was there, they told me that my gate shocks that hold the open hatch up just went bad out of the blue. I hadn’t had a single problem beforehand. Passed by their shop on a holiday and my car was the only one they didn’t park in their locked gate. And, when I picked my vehicle up the inside was covered in ants. They attempted to remove them with a vacuum but were unsuccessful. I have never had ants in any vehicle I have ever owned. Additionally, they told me they would have pest control come to my office and spray for the ants and have yet to do such. Apparently, they have an on-going ant problem in their shop.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO JOE HUDSON COLLISION CENTER. Terrible work. Sloppy haphazard repairs. My repaired bumper actually fell off and my headlight popped out a week after picking up my car. Instead of repairing/replacing the bumper they used adhesive tape to reattach the broken tabs for the cover which in the Alabama heat became gummy and came loose - In some places they even left the broken tabs in the slots and just put a blob of glue in that spot - no joke - glue and tape to hold the bumper cover on!!! Apparently they can't even file the claim/estimate paperwork with your insurance company properly so you can take your vehicle someplace else for a quality repair - they lied and told my insurance company I never showed up for the appointment - but I have a copy of their estimate from the appointment "I never showed up for" in my hands as I am writing this - Unethical!!
