I agree with the other reviewers. I went simply because of a Bargain Bee discount. Am I ever glad! The owner is the friendliest man who made the experience for a young nephew a special treat. I'm not sure what it is, but this pizza is not even on the same level as anything else I've ever eaten--it's miles ahead of the competition. Ordinarily, I like thick crust pizza, so I was a little leary. I shouldn't have worried. The best pizza, and the prices are more than competitive. Even if you don't live in Prairieville, don't let that stop you from coming.
My sentiments exactly. I have suffered with what apparently has been called good pizza for years here in Baton Rouge. I have lived in 33 states and have had pizza from uncountable pizza places. Roma pizza is the real deal. This is a authentic NY style pizza. Extremely large slices, tons and tons of cheese, tons of your favorite toppings. Is this pizza greasy? you bet it is. Why is it greasy because he puts so much freaking real cheese on his pizza and real toppings. The owner has an awesome thick Italian accent that adds to the authenticity of his pizza. He will go the extra mile time after time to please his customers. He has a lunch special two NY size slices of pizza and a drink for $3.99. You wont get half that amount of food at fast food restaurants. Try his pizza, you wont regret it.Every person I have informed about Roma, and has gone, has loved the food and they become addicted.

Let me tell you, I know good pizza when I taste it, and this one is a hit! None of the joints in BR can compete on the taste scale. The calzones are pretty impressive too: huge, delicious, and loaded with cheese, and whatever toppings you like -- served to you freshly out of the oven. This place has the best pizza all around in Baton Rouge area. The owner is a very nice guy and will go an extra mile to make his customers happy; he treated me and my family like his most favorite customers from our first visit. Now, there's not much sitting area in there, and you may find it a bit under-furnished, compared to some other places. It's not your "bring-your-date" type of restaurant. Very basic... But hey, it's the food and service that win your heart (and stomach). The place was previously occupied by another "Italian" restaurant which closed down... don't let it bother you though. Roma Pizza will be your favorite pizza place, once you discover it. I wish I had found it earlier.
