Shawnee Mission East High School operates under the Shawnee Mission School District, which also governs various other schools, such as Indian Hills Middle School, Hocker Grove Middle School and Mission Valley School. The high school educates more than 2,000 students every year in grades nine through 12. Located in Shawnee Mission, Kan., Shawnee Mission East High School offers classes in a wide range of subjects, including world languages, science, economics, statistics, and world history and geography. In addition, the school provides a variety of fine art classes, music and choir classes. It organizes various sporting activities, including football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, track and cross country.
