Whenever I order a salad, whether it is an antipasta or just a green salad with dressing, the cucumber slices always seem to be pre-cut and therefore they are soft and kinda slimy, instead of crisp and fresh. The green olives that are in the salads are cheap out of a jar instead of large green robust fresh Italian-market type. The cherry tomatoes are pretty much the same, usually not fresh and usually kinda wilted and smushy, I always order balsamic vinaigrette dressing, but instead of using a fine balsamic vinegar, they are using some cheap starchy stuff and for the oil, there is no extra virgin olive oil being used, instead its some kind of cheap wesson oil not extra virgin as it should be. The chicken used is processed and tasted previously frozen. Cheesesteaks are gross meat instead of a good flank steak. The Pizza is usually ok.

This place is the best in the area for real Italian food, huge portions, and great device, I can't believe someone would complain about a dollar increase. How cheap can you be? They give you nearly a pound of pasta, a wonderful salad, garlic bread, and complimentary wine. I would have been embarrassed to even question the price with all that food. Try and find a better and bigger meal for less. You can't. I highly recommend this place. It's not expensive at all!

Well, on the up side, the pizza here is the best around. My husband and I drive 11 miles each direction to get a pizza from them . On the downside, not the most professionally run place. Called to place an order, they answered, and asked me to hold, and put the phone down on the counter without putting me on hold. Then two of them proceeded to have a fight for 3 minutes and use every expletive you can imagine. Needless to say, as a business owner myself, I was a little bit disgusted. Good pizza,but for customer service and professionalism, I give a them a zero. Very sad.

I've been to Giovanni's several times. I particularly eating al fresco in the summer and warmer months. The food and service is generalled very good, however I do not recommend the chicken picatta. Everything else I've had is top notch! I especially love the salad - not just iceburg lettuce and unripened tomoatoes that you often are served in other restaurants. They serve a beautiful mix of greens with several other garden vegetables, including olives! Keep it up!

In reference to the price increase, true we increased our pricing first time in two years since open, the printing of the menu has been a nightmare, but in no way have we tried to fool customers. On the back of the current menu it does say that prices are subject to change. Sorry if you can't understand that the price increase of 50 cents on most items is huge but again our portioning and quality far out weighs the increase. Thanks for your understanding.

The food here can't be beat. If you're looking for an italian dinner that makes your taste buds dance with joy, this is the place. You'll leave with a dinner and a half in leftovers. The ONLY problem we had with our visit to Giovanni's was when the check came. Nearly every meal was $1 in price higher than advertised on the menu. When we questioned this, we were told that "The menu says prices are subject to change without notice". We asked for a manager because we felt as consumers we had the right to be informed of what we were paying before we ordered it. They claimed that they ordered new menus 2 weeks ago and they just hadn't arrived. It took a couple spats with the manager to get a measly $6 price adjustment on a $46 bill. The price, new or old, wasn't unfair. But ask for current prices or you might get a 'surprise' when the bill comes. Worth a visit. We'll probably go back again but be sure to ask for current prices.

This is truly the best Italian place in Pennsylvania. The quality of food served is outstanding. And the quantity is unmatched! And the service is always terrific! It is a wise choice to share...one dinner dinner is enough for two people. This place is a must try!! Even if you need to wait for a table, it is worth it!! You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I went to dinner on 6/4 for the first time... the place was packed, the service was fantastic and the food was awesome. We will definitely go back very soon.

Philly anymore .. service was fast considering i could barely get in the parking lot or door. i never seen such a top notch group of people working like a fine oiled machine.. to some it all up in a word ..WOW !!
