Northeast Credit Union provides a variety of financial services to members throughout the United States. It offers various accounts options, including savings, checking, individual retirement and money market accounts. The union offers a variety of consumer loan products and lines of credit, such as home equity, personal and auto loans and credit cards. It also provides investment and insurance services, which includes accumulating, protecting and preserving wealth. It provides various online services, including access of accounts and statements, payment of bills, and applying for loans. Other services offered include mortgages, free overdraft protection option and ATM transactions. Northeast Credit Union serves more than 42,000 members and over 200 employer groups. It is headquartered in Portsmouth, and has branches in Strafford, Rockingham, Hillsborough, Merrimack, Belknap and Carroll.

Horrible to deal with. Have a car loan with them and I lost my job last year. I was 31 days late on 1 payment and someone came knocking on my door at 8:00 pm to repo my car! The person in the Portsmouth office was rude and made me feel like a horrible person for not being able to make my payment on time. Told me I should borrow money or sell something!!

DO NOT become a memeber of Northeast Credit Union. I have been a member for 30 years with no problems. The credit union charged me for an error they made and would not reverse the fee. They were more than happy to close my account after 30 years. They do not care about their members! They will just charge you fee's you shouldn't have to pay!

I was happy for quite a few years, but lately the teller service and call center service has been horrific. I have also attempted to use their email service and have never once heard back from anyone.
Very Poor when dealing with loan specialist in Portsmouth. I am trying to fax forms they requested to no avail and the contact person is either "on the phone, at lunch". After leaving her 3 messages to give me a call over a period of 3 hours still no call. If I ran my auto business like this, I would be out of business. PS; This is not the first time this has happened.

About 5 years ago, I went to obtain a line of credit. During the conversation with the mortgage specialist, she indicated that the floating rate could not exceed a 2% increase in any one year. After the latest scare in refinancing, I called and found out that this could rise with the market with no cap on a per/year basis. I reviewed my mortgage paperwork and found that there was no cap clause in there either. Will have to review my good faith to see if it is in there. Not real happy at this point.
