Founded in 1985, Western Machine Works Inc. is a full-service precision machining firm that specializes in the pulp and paper industry. Based in Portland, Ore., the company offers a wide range of services, such as bearing fits, replacement shells, grinding, complete roll repair, new roll manufacturing, component remanufacturing and fabrication. It operates from a 33,000-square foot facility and utilizes design, stress/fatigue analysis as well as computer-aided design (CAD) system. Western Machine Works Inc. has associations with the American Paper Machinery Association, Institute of Paper Science and Technology, American Forest and Paper Association, etc.
