      Shigezo Izakaya in Portland represents a blend of tradition and modern trends and we look forward to your visit. Our parent company, TKS Group, is a Tokyo-based company that started out in 1991 with a small Okonomiyaki-style restaurant. Emphasizing a high quality dining experience for a reasonable price, the company has been able to grow rapidly; expanding to over 100 Izakaya's, ramen noodle shops, and sushi bars today. For hundreds of years, Izakaya's, or Japanese pubs as they are known abroad, have been serving their customers sake. Over time, Izakaya menus evolved to incorporate beer and several types of foods. Today, a standard Izakaya menu contains Sushi, a variety of side dishes, and complete dinners. Diners can choose to create their own dinner, or share from an assortment of foods with their families and friends. From sushi to skewers to noodles, we hope you will enjoy dining Izakaya-style at Shigezo Portland. Additionally, we offer party platters for your special events.
