Sellwood Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally offers classes in music, art, world languages and physical education. Sellwood Middle School supports a student council and band, jazz, drama and dance clubs. It offers the Marimba program, which teaches students about the origins of the music that is typically from Zimbabwe and Botswana. The school s after-school programs include homework assistance, cooking classes and dodge ball.
