I will keep this short and to the point. Portland Torque products warranty is as good as the paper it is written on. I am a small business owner with a fleet of Chevy vans. I purchased a remanufactured transmission from Portland Torque Products. The transmission failed within its warranty period. Warranty assistance was virtually non-existent. I had to resort to nasty emails to get traction on a response. Once we resolved the issue with the transmission, they have not met their end of their warranty by paying the mechanic who removed the

This company has no business rebuilding transmissions. They sent us two CVTs, both have failed. They will not pay the agreed upon labor rate for the warranty claims. Both CVTs had an internal failure, and this company refuses to recognize that the issue is their fault. In short, don't buy anything from these A$$holes.
Our Experience with them was nothing short of a NIGHTMARE! Their Ad and Mission Statement Conned us into trying their company and leaving our regular local vendors because of the Prices and Services PTP Offered & Advertised. Instead, we were sent not 1, but 2 Bad Transmissions that we spend $2,700 on, plus the $120 in Oil and labor both times, and were told by PTP we would get reimbursed for the time and material wasted on them since they sent us a bad unit. We also never saw or received any of the testing and certifying documents which we requested several times. It took them 2 months to get this resolved, and we lost a $5,000 job, new customer, and there is no telling who they told either. It took them long to answer, and they went back on their word and brushed us off as if it was no big deal. We sent several emails and requested to speak to an owner with no luck, and after we asked for a refund, we got an attitude. AN OVERALL HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and bad way of doing business!
