Saw Dr. Thomas in May 2017 for evaluation following an initial phone consultation. Coordinating neurofeedback treatment with another practitioner was discussed and follow-up appointments were scheduled with Dr. Thomas herself, for which I made clear that I was seeking neurofeedback treatment only. Dr. Thomas noted that in that case the discounted semi-private sessions would be ideal since it would be easier for her colleague to be working with another person at the same time.Soon received an e-mail from Dr. Thomas saying that neurofeedback-only sessions were not provided, and that follow-up appointments were canceled. This was clearly not mentioned in either phone consultation or initial evaluation, which cost $250 out of pocket. Further attempts to reschedule were denied, and Dr. Thomas and her scheduling assistant gave conflicting reasons for the cancellation. If Dr. Thomas does not offer neurofeedback-only sessions, then why were follow-up appointments scheduled in the first place? Unprofessional at best, fraudulent at worst. Not recommended.
