Established in 1961, LifeWorks NW is a community-based, nonprofit organization that provides a range of alcohol, drug and gambling addiction treatment solutions for children, teenagers and adults. It offers treatment services for patients with anxiety, depression, trauma and Alzheimer s disease. The organization additionally provides a range of juvenile crime prevention and skills development for adolescents between the ages of 10 and 17. It also offers nursing care services for individuals with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. The organization provides medication administration, consulting and education services. In addition, it offers counseling services in cases related to family violence, substance abuse and parenting difficulties. LifeWorks NW maintains a location in Portland, Ore.
