The Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon, also known as HFO, is a volunteer organization that provides education and support to families affected by hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Founded in 1963, it serves individuals through advocacy, outreach, research and promotion in medical care. The organization publishes a quarterly newsletter, Hemophilia Headlines, which is comprised of local, national and international news related to bleeding disorders, as well as legislative and medical updates. The Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon conducts several summer camps that feature hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, and arts and crafts activities , as well as 24-hour professional medical supervision for children. It also administers various educational programs and provides information and referral services. Additionally, the organization operates a medical insurance resource center. The Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon is located in Portland, Ore.
