  Prior to founding the law firm, Joseph successfully litigated complex commercial disputes including securities, class actions, product liability, shareholder actions, antitrust litigation, director & officer liability, insurance coverage, and real estate law as a member of the Trial Practice Group for Stoel Rives, Portland’s largest law firm. Joseph subsequently developed an expertise in employment law for a national labor and employment law firm where he defended numerous litigation matters on all subjects and in all forums. Such representative matters include a defense verdict in a million dollar disability discrimination action, an outright arbitration award in a sexual harassment claim against a local auto dealer, and the affirmation of a summary judgment ruling in a defamation case before the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. As counsel to employers, he worked alongside corporate management to implement policies and practices to limit workplace-related liability while preserving the vision and cultures of his respective corporate clients. These experiences prompted Joseph to start his own practice and continue advising businesses and individuals in the field of employment law while maintaining a general civil litigation practice.
