Floyd Light Middle School is an educational center that teaches more than 750 students in grades six through eight. It is a part of David Douglas School District 40, which has an enrollment of nearly 8,800 students in over 10 schools. The school s facilities include a gymnasium, cafeteria, library media center, play ground, parents resource center, auditorium, art and music rooms, and computer, science and math laboratories. Floyd Light Middle School s academic curriculum includes foreign languages, health education, mathematics, music, social studies, technology, visual arts, English, and home and career skills. It has a guidance and counseling department that provides basic assistance to students regarding scholarships, career planning, and social and mental problems.
