Elmer's Restaurants is a chain of food outlets that offers dishes from the Northwest. It offers a range of appetizers that includes chicken tenders, zucchini logs, meltdown mozzarella, onion rings, and clam chowder and turkey noodle soups. The chain also provides chicken, Cobb, shrimp, Caesar and teriyaki salmon salads. Its entr e menu includes smoked grilled chicken, prime rib, flat iron steak, penne pasta, hazelnut-crusted halibut and teriyaki glazed salmon. Elmer's Restaurants was founded by Walter and Dorothy Elmer in 1960 and operates restaurants throughout the states of California, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. The chain maintains a presence in Tigard, Ore.
