Our telephone services do not require any proprietary or dedicated PBX equipment, but utilize your existing data networks and Internet connections. History and Development Douglas Telecom, Inc has been active in the telecommunication industry since the 1990s, first providing long distance and international telephone services. We developed our proprietary real-time operating system in-house, which became the backbone of our call processing servers. A fundamental result of the research and development was an integrated Internet-based telecommunication system yielding a new level of speed, flexibility and security. With the proliferation of DSL and other forms of broadband internet, the need in the marketplace for these types of solutions has become ever greater. Douglas Telecom seeks to fill this need by providing a new platform for communication and computing and since 2003 we have been providing digital hosted PBX telephone services to our customers.
