This part-time position does not include benefits and may be structured as an independent contractor position.About Chalkboard and the CLASS Project:The Chalkboard Project exists to inspire Oregonians to do what it takes to make our K-12 public schools among the nation's best. Our goal is to lift student outcomes by moving Oregon's public education system into the top ten in the nation as measured by student achievement results. Chalkboard pursues this goal through a combination of information and education of the public, pursuing proven educational practices in the policy process, and piloting promising practices in over 50 schools in our state.One of the Chalkboard Project's most exciting and transformative pilot projects is the Creative Leadership Achieves Student Success ( CLASS ) Project. Through this project three Oregon school districts are working with national and local experts to redesign career pathways, professional development, performance evaluations, and compensation systems for teachers, administrators, and, in some cases, classified staff in their school districts. Nine additional districts have joined the project and are in the design phase.The Chalkboard Project is seeking a CLASS Project Coach. The CLASS Project Coach will assist Chalkboard in the development and refinement of the pilot implementation of the CLASS Project in Oregon school districts. He/she will work collaboratively and cooperatively will Chalkboard staff, project consultants, and pilot school district staff.Developing, implementing, and refining of a new teacher career enhancement program---CLASS ProjectDeveloping and implementing a vision and design for the CLASS Project that supports increasing student achievementDesigning and implementing new career path definitions, performance evaluation systems, professional development, and differentiated compensation systemsDeveloping and maintaining relationships both inside and outside of the district to ensure that the necessary information and resources are available to support the project's successKnowledge of career enhancement systems, performance evaluation, professional development, and differentiated compensation systems
