The diversity of supportive offerings, careful and informed programming, individual attainment and deep commitment of its comparison teachers distinguish it from many yoga centers.
Best yoga in Portland, Maine! I've tried them all.
WholeHeart offers so much more than great exercise. Their classes and teachers have encouraged me to apply the principle of yoga to life's everyday challenges. Wholeheart keeps me centered!

There is no better place in the area and I would highly recommend Rebecca Stephans as a teacher.

I have been experiencing Whole Heart Yoga for several years and have taken classes from several teachers. All have been gentle people by nature and have shown concern for each student, while leading the small classes. The room is welcoming and each experience has been uplifting. Whatever ones reason for practicing yoga, at whatever level, there is no disapproval, only positive encouragement. I tried another studio in Portland once, never again! I recommend it highly.

After a session at WholeHeart Yoga, I experience the perfect balance of spiritual peace, physical warmth and fluidity, and emotional calm. Each session begins with a gentle centering and reading from one of the Kripalu journals or books, followed by movements and postures that ease joints and challenge muscles and ligaments. The classes are small and the students are thoughtful and respectful. The atmosphere is very welcoming and accepting of individual differences. The energy and sense of goodwill carry me through the week.
