Established in 1907, Maine Eye Center provides eye care technology and treatment services. The eye center offers a wide variety of services, including cataract, retina, eyelid and cosmetic eye surgeries, multifocal intraocular lens implants and laser in-situ keratomileusis eye surgery. Its services also include photorefractive keratectomy, glaucoma treatment, pediatric and diabetic ophthalmology, routine eye exams and eye injury treatment. The eye center has an optical shop that provides a wide variety of eyeglass frames, sunglasses, sports eyewear and safety glasses with more than 600 traditional and designer styles. It also provides patient education by providing information on various topics, such as cataracts, diabetes and the eye, flashes and floaters, dry eye syndrome, senior eye health, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal and visual disorders. Additionally, it has a Medicare-certified ambulatory surgical center in the campus. The eye center is located in Portland, Maine.
